Senior Data Analyst

About the Role:
As a Senior Data Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to assist in the development and implementation of data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and improve existing reporting systems and perform complex analyses.
- Conduct and facilitate (and educate and train on) analyses, issues identification, risk assessment, and decision-making processes.
- Responsible for developing and implementing best practices in data collection methodologies and analyses.
- Provide consulting and analytic services to leadership.
- Provide technical support and mentoring and training to less-senior analysts.
- Define data assets (data models) for collection and population of such data models.
- Lead strategy-driven research planning, management, implementation, and analysis efforts.
- Lead collaborative and relationship-building efforts across relevant internal and external stakeholders to support successful evaluation and assessment efforts.

Location:
You will work onsite in Washington, DC. Telework may be an option dependent on contract requirements.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline and 7 years of professional and relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years may be substituted).
- Demonstrated experience collecting, developing, and interpreting key data points to support operational decision-making in the public sector.
- Working knowledge of federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration.
- Must be detail-oriented and think logically.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong team leadership and risk management ability.
- US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Development experience, with a focus on data manipulation and/or statistics, using one or more of these languages or applications: Python, R, SAS, Tableau, AWS.
- Dashboarding experience

Salary:
Approximate Salary Estimate: $88,000 - $110,000 annually
