About the Role: 

As a Senior Data Solutions Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will provide strategic and operational support to advance data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will leverage reporting tools, SharePoint capabilities, and analytical expertise to enhance operational visibility, improve data quality, and support emerging initiatives related to automation and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with exceptional consulting skills and can effectively translate business needs into practical data solutions that strengthen mission delivery. 

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

  • Partnering with federal stakeholders to identify business needs, define success metrics, and translate requirements into reporting and visualization solutions 

  • Ensuring data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to maintain confidence in operational reporting 

  • Aggregating data from multiple sources to produce recurring and ad hoc reports that enhance operational capacity and inform leadership decision-making 

  • Supporting SharePoint-based reporting and collaboration capabilities that facilitate information sharing and program operations 

  • Supporting the implementation and adoption of new systems, automation initiatives, and emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency and mission outcomes through stakeholder engagement and change management activities 

  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, reports, and analytical products to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support leadership decision-making 

  • Facilitating meetings and working sessions with stakeholders while serving as a liaison between program staff, leadership, and technical teams to gather requirements, validate findings, and ensure business needs are effectively communicated and addressed 

  • Supporting the development of data governance practices, performance measurement approaches, and reporting frameworks that strengthen operational effectiveness 

  • Creating executive-level briefing materials, presentations, and summaries that communicate analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner 

  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through data-informed recommendations 

  • Maintaining documentation related to reporting methodologies, data definitions, and standard operating procedures

Location: 

You will work as part of a hybrid team in the Washington, DC metro area.  
 

Required Experience/Skills:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant professional experience  

    • A Master’s Degree and 8 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of 10 years of experience 

  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau 

  • Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions and translating stakeholder needs into practical reporting solutions 

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and communicate analytical concepts to non-technical audiences through executive briefings, presentations, and written products 

  • Experience conducting data aggregation, reconciliation, validation, and quality assurance activities to support reliable reporting and decision-making 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting SharePoint environments and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including the development or maintenance of reporting, information-sharing, or operational support capabilities 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills 

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance 

  • US Citizenship required 
     

Preferred Experience/Skills: 

  • Previous experience supporting the Department of Homeland Security 

  • Experience supporting the rollout or adoption of new systems, processes, or organizational initiatives 

  • Experience supporting operational reporting, performance measurement, or business intelligence initiatives within a federal environment 

  • Familiarity with automation tools or artificial intelligence applications used to enhance business operations

Salary: 

Approximate Salary Estimate: $90,000.00 - 110,000.00 annually
